New Directions

As you may be able to tell, I rarely write on this blog anymore. It nags at me, calls me, haunts me and mocks me! I do have a few very good reasons! Nonetheless, it plagues me.

One reason is, I am a homeschooling mother of 3 students and 2 preschoolers. This reason is plain to see and very easy to understand. What it boils down to is, I have very little time. Updating a quick status on facebook seems to be more my speed these days.

I realized today, though, that there is a deeper, more prohibitive reason. I am going to be honest. This blog just doesn't apply to me anymore. It does, but it doesn't. Let me explain!

I have a BUCKETLOAD of boys. This cannot be denied. However, I also have a beautiful, pink, sweet smelling, feminine daughter who has brought so much girliness to my life, and herein lies my problem. I don't just identify myself as a boy mamma anymore.

Over the last year, I have inexplicably also become a girl mamma. I put in barretts. I match socks and clothes, I have even bought some really beautiful girly headbands for my little sweetie. This transition happened without any effort, and amazes me as much as it might be amazing you!

I also have found that I have taken more care on my own accessorizing. I have bought matching shirts and necklaces for myself, and have, in general, reconnected with my inner girl!

The desire to blog is still great in me, and as I pondered this while getting dressed this morning, it came to me. Like a voice from the heavens I heard: Start a different blog that more accurately reflects what is going on in my life today! (Okay, so I'm a slow learner. This seems so obvious, I admit.) So, here is your notification of change of venue!

I look forward to more regularly downloading my experiences in this crazy, busy, fun life I am living! So come by the new site every now and then and catch up.
